El Camino

The Camino de Santiago is an ancient pilgrimage route leading to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in northwest Spain, where the bones of St. James are said to rest. Each year, thousands walk its paths for reasons both spiritual and personal. For many summers, my wife, Nancy Richards Farese, and I have walked the Camino—photographing along the way and reflecting on the journey as a future collaborative book project.
